Model JD 50A: Remote Control Unit
Our customers have requested remote controls on our amplifiers. And for years we have experimented and tried to fulfill the requests. Our basic problem was simple, one of physics and cost. To put in an inexpensive remote control system in the amplifier would compromise the sound quality, to put in a quality system with all the interference panels would raise the costs out of proportion of the cost of the basic amplifier. What to do? So we built a separate control box. Physics and cost satisfied. Not only can you control the volume of the amp, there is manual switching, remote on/off, two AC receptacles, and two outputs which now make hooking to a subwoofer or bi-amping an easy procedure. With a low profile and a full body you can put another component or amplifier right on top, no need to use another shelf.
